Stage and Screen Actor Brian Dennehy Dead at 81

Brian Dennehy's profession crossed five decades, passed away at 81 years old. Dennehy, who won a Tony Award 2 times and co-featured in many movies, died in Connecticut on Wednesday night. 


Dennehy co-featured in many famous movies, including "First Blood", "Silverado," and "Cocoon." He also played Chris Farley's father in the satire "Tommy Boy"

A previous school football player at Columbia University, Dennehy showed up in various TV appears before making his film debut in the Burt Reynolds film "Semi-Tough" where he was a football player. He immediately was offered jobs on "10" and "F.I.S.T." 

Mia Farrow said on Twitter she was crushed to discover that Brian Dennehy passed away.

Dennehy won a Tony for acting in "Death of a Salesman".He got another for "Long Day's Journey Into Night.

Dennehy kept on working in recent arrangements as "Hap and Leonard" and NBC's "The Blacklist." 

Michael McKean called Dennehy a splendid actor. Marlee Matlin said that his death is a horrible misfortune.
