Easter 2020 Trump Wants to Open Up the Country

President Donald Trump said Tuesday he needs the U.S. economy to "open" back up by Easter Sunday, notwithstanding alerts about the lethal risk of the coronavirusEaster is April 12, less than three weeks from now.

Trump's comments in a Fox News "virtual town hall" occasion at the White House came as more states forced outrageous measures, including closing down organizations and requesting inhabitants to remain at home, to attempt to slow the spread of coronavirus

"We're opening up this fantastic nation. Since we need to do that. I couldn't imagine anything better than to have it open by Easter," Trump said.
"I couldn't want anything more than to have that. It's such a significant day for different reasons, yet I'd love to make it a significant day for this. I couldn't want anything more than to have the nation opened up, and chomping at the bit to pass by Easter.

In a second meeting with Fox that disclosed Tuesday evening, Trump said he offered the occasion as a cutoff time since "Easter's an exceptionally unique day for me.

“Wouldn’t it be great to have all the churches full?” Trump asked. “You’ll have packed churches all over our country … I think it’ll be a beautiful time.”
“I’m not sure that’s going to be the day,” but “that would be a beautiful thing.”

In another meeting on Tuesday evening, Trump seemed to support his earlier statement.
"We'll possibly do it if it's acceptable,"

Trump stated that he is in contact with White House specialists to study the issue.

“I just think it would be a beautiful timeline.”
“Our decision will be based on hard facts and data as to the opening” of the economy, Trump said in that presser. “Every decision is grounded solely in the health, safety and well-being of our citizens.”

Obviously Trump is not rooted in reality,” said Dr. Tina Tan, a board individual from the Infectious Diseases Society of America.
